cable aging
Some other types of cables such as
cables actually have a certain service life. Once these service years are exceeded, there will be many accidents, so the harm is obvious, which reminds us that we need to pay attention to the aging of the cable and its timely replace.
Reasons for cable aging: external damage, through the analysis of the operation in recent years, the rapid development of the economy, now a considerable number of
cable failures are caused by mechanical damage.
Wet insulation: This situation is very common and usually occurs in underground
cables or exhaust pipe joints.
Environment and Temperature: Heat in
cables and the external environment can also cause high temperature cables, insulation breakdown, fire or explosion.
Chemical corrosion: The cable is directly buried in the acid-base field, often due to long-term exposure to chemical substances or electrical corrosion, the armored cable, lead sheet or outer sheath, corrosion-resistant protective layer corrodes, so that the protective layer is corroded. A fault in the cable reduces the insulation and can lead to cable failure.
Long-term overload: Overload operation, due to current, thermal effect of load current through conductor
cable will inevitably lead to fever, while eddy current loss and skin effect charge steel armor, dielectric loss at first glance will generate additional heat dissipation, thus making the cable temperature. Long-term overload operation and high temperature will accelerate insulation aging and breakdown of insulation materials. Especially in hot summer, the temperature rise of the cable often leads to weakening and the first cable insulation breakdown, so the failure of the cable is also particularly high in summer.
Cable connector failure: The cable of the
cable connector is the weakest link, and frequent cable connector failures are caused by direct negligence. In the production process of
cable connectors, crimp connectors, if there is not tightness, insufficient heating, etc., the original mesh will lead to cable insulation to reduce the head and cause accidents.
